School Holiday in Prayagraj on January 20th

The Magh Mela is currently underway in Prayagraj, attracting a large number of devotees for a holy dip. In Prayagraj, schools are closed today, January 20th, for the auspicious bath on Mauni Amavasya. Devotees from far and wide come to take a holy dip on Mauni Amavasya, leading to large crowds.

Schools from primary to secondary levels are closed. Extensive security arrangements have been made in Prayagraj due to the large crowds. According to government guidelines, schools will also be closed on January 26th, Republic Day. However, students will be called to school to hoist the national flag. No classes will be held on this day.
