There is great news for the youth dreaming of getting a job in the railways. West Central Railway has announced bumper vacancies for apprenticeships. A total of 2865 posts will be filled under this recruitment process. The application process has started from 30 August 2025, and interested candidates can apply online till 29 September 2025. Applications will be accepted only on the official website wcr.indianrailways.gov.in.

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for these posts must have passed 10th with a minimum of 50 percent marks from a recognized board. Along with this, candidates must have an ITI certificate from NCVT or SCVT. This qualification has been made mandatory for candidates of all trades.
Age Limit
The minimum age of the candidates applying for Apprentice Recruitment 2025 has been fixed at 15 years, and the maximum age at 24 years. Age limit relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules. The age of the candidates will be calculated as of 20 August 2025.
Application Process
- To apply for West Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment, first of all, one has to visit the official website wcr.indianrailways.gov.in.
- After clicking on the link “For Online Application against Notification No. 01/2025 (Act Apprentices)” available on the homepage, a new registration has to be done.
- After completion of registration, candidates can log in and fill in the remaining details.
- After filling the form, the prescribed fee has to be paid, and finally, the application should be submitted, and a printout should be taken out.
Application Fee
Candidates coming from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay Rs 141 as an application fee in the recruitment process. Whereas for SC, ST, Divyang, and female candidates of all categories, the fee has been fixed at only Rs 41.
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected solely based on the merit list. After the name appears in the merit list, the documents will be verified. Successful candidates will be appointed to apprentice posts. No written examination or interview will be conducted in this entire process.
