When will the JEE Main Session 2 exam be held?

According to the official schedule, the JEE Main Session 2 exam will be held between April 2 and April 9, 2026. This engineering entrance exam will be conducted in two shifts (9-12 a.m. and 3-6 p.m.) in computer-based test mode.
When will the JEE Main City Slip be released?
The JEE Main city slip, which details the exam city, is expected to be issued to candidates in the third week of March. However, the date has not been officially confirmed.
When will the admit cards be released?
The JEE Main admit card will be released 3 to 4 days before the exam begins. Candidates appearing for the exam can download their hall tickets through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Application number and date of birth will be required to download the hall ticket.
JEE Main Session 2 Eligibility Criteria:
Must have passed 12th grade in 2024 or 2025.
Students appearing for the 12th board exam in 2026.
There is no upper age limit, but students may appear for the exam only three consecutive years.

- Students appearing for the exam are advised to revise previously studied topics rather than study new ones.
- Take mock tests regularly to improve time management.

Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.ac.in
Click on the ‘Session 2 City Intimation Slip’ link located under the ‘Candidate Activity’ board.
Enter your Application Number and Password.
Your City Slip will appear on the screen.
Download the city slip and print it for future use.
