YES Bank: Big news for YES Bank customers. Yes Bank has made some updates for its credit card customers. As per the bank’s announcement, these new regulations will come into effect on April 1, 2026. The updates mainly focus on utility bill payments, transportation costs, and loading digital wallets.

The fee rates remain unchanged. The 1% charge plus GST stays the same, but spending limits have been raised for various categories. This means customers can now spend more than they could previously before incurring charges.

New limit on utility bills

New limits will now be enforced for utility bill payments such as electricity, water, and gas. If expenses surpass this limit within a single billing cycle, a 1% charge plus GST will be applied.

YES Private Credit Card: Up to Rs 1 lakh

Premium cards like Marquee and Reserve: Up to Rs 50,000

Other YES Bank credit cards: Up to Rs 25,000

If spending exceeds these limits, additional charges will apply.

Toll and bridge fees renamed

Transactions related to tolls and bridges will now be listed on credit card statements as transportation fees.

If the monthly spending on these exceeds the set limit, a 1% charge plus GST will be applicable.

New Limit

Premium Card: Rs 75,000

Other cards: Rs 50,000

However, the maximum charge for any single transaction will be capped at Rs 5,000 only.

Charges for adding money to your wallet

If a customer adds money to a third-party digital wallet using a credit card, specific rules have been established for that as well.

No charges for transactions up to Rs 2,000

A 1% charge plus GST will apply if the amount exceeds Rs 2,000.

This charge will also be limited to a maximum of Rs 5,000 per transaction.

What it means for customers?

These updates could offer some advantages to credit card users. With the increased limits for utility and transportation expenses, customers can now make larger payments without facing extra charges. However, the same fees will apply if the limits are exceeded, so it’s crucial for customers to keep an eye on their spending while using the card.
