JEE Main Exam 2026: The National Testing Agency has begun the JEE Main Session 2 exam. The exam will be conducted at various exam centres across the country. Approximately 11.23 lakh candidates are appearing for the JEE Main exam this year. The BE/BTech exam will be held on April 4, 5,6, and 8, 2026, while the BArch/BPlanning (Paper 2) exam will be held on April 7. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Admit cards for the exam have also been released, so students are advised to download their hall tickets from the official website.

The examination will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift will run from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Entry for the morning shift will be permitted between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM, while entry for the second shift will be permitted between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM.

Student Verification Will Be Done Four Times
Candidates will be verified four times on the day of the exam. The first verification will be done by re-verifying their thumb impression and signature after their admit card is printed. The second verification will be done manually and biometrically at the gate. The third verification will involve an AI face scan and the mother’s name and signature on the attendance sheet. The fourth verification will require students to re-verify their biometrics if they use the restroom.
Ban on Electronic Devices
To prevent cheating, a ban has been imposed on all electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, earphones, pen drives, and study notes. Additionally, CCTV cameras and signal jammers have been installed at the examination centres.
How to Download the JEE Main Session 2 Admit Card?
Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
Click on the admit card link located in the ‘LATEST NEWS’ section on the website’s homepage.
Enter your application number, password, and the provided security code.
Then, click the ‘Submit’ button.
The admit card will then appear on your screen.
You can download it and take a printout.
Necessary documents
All students will have to carry important documents, such as an admit card, two passport-size photographs, ID proof, etc.

Dress Code Guidelines
Female candidates are advised not to wear stoles, dupattas, scarves, or any such attire that may cause inconvenience during security checks. Furthermore, do not wear jewellery or metal objects, including rings, earrings, or bracelets. Additionally, male candidates should avoid wearing clothing with buckles or other metal components. Refrain from wearing caps, mufflers, or any form of head covering. The wearing of ornaments such as chains, bracelets, or rings is prohibited.
