JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates Announced
According to the schedule released by the NTA, the JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted in two sessions.
- Session 1: January 21 to 30, 2026
- Session 2: April 1 to 10, 2026
Candidates are required to apply within the stipulated deadline to appear for the exam. Like last year, the application link is expected to be activated in the last week of October.
Key Changes Made in JEE Main 2026
This time, the NTA has decided to simplify and digitalise the application process. Candidates’ names, dates of birth, photographs, and other personal details will be automatically retrieved directly from their Aadhaar cards. Candidates must ensure their Aadhaar cards are updated before registering.
Also, given the increasing number of students taking the exam, the number of exam centres in India and abroad will be increased to ensure convenient access to a centre for all. Details of other changes will also be shared after the Information Bulletin is released.

Applying for JEE Main 2026 is a completely online process. Interested candidates can follow the steps below.
- Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on “New Candidate Registration.”
- Enter your details and create a password.
- Log in with your application number and enter the required details.
- Upload documents (photograph, signature, certificate).
- Pay the fee online according to your category.
- Submit your application and download the confirmation page.

Candidates must have these documents ready when filling out the form:
- Aadhaar Card (with updated information)
- Class 10th Marksheet
- Scanned Passport-Size Photograph and Signature
- Income or Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- UDID Card for Persons with Disabilities (if applicable)
