JEE Main 2026: The National Testing Agency has opened the online application process for JEE Main 2026 in October 2025. The exam will be held in two phases in January and April 2026. When is the JEE Main exam held?
This exam is held twice a year and consists of two phases. The first phase will be held in January 2026 and the second phase in April 2026.

What will be the changes?
In a notice issued on September 29, the National Testing Agency advised candidates to check their required documents before filling out the JEE Main 2026 application form. These include Aadhaar card, UDID card (for candidates with disabilities), and category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL).

NTA has clarified that the name, date of birth (as per the Class 10th certificate), photo, address, and father’s name on the Aadhaar card must be accurate and up-to-date.

Registration Fee
Candidates from the unreserved category will have to pay a fee of ₹1,000 along with filling out the exam form. Candidates from the General, OBC, and General EWS categories will have to pay ₹900, while female candidates from the unreserved, General, OBC, and General EWS categories will have to pay ₹800. Furthermore, the application fee for SC/ST/Transgender/PWD categories is ₹500. The fee can be paid online.

What are the eligibility criteria?
Students must have passed the 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects. Students who are studying in class 12th are also eligible for this exam.
