CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the complete timetable for the supplementary examinations of class 10th and 12th. These examinations will start from July 15, 2025. This is a golden opportunity for the students who have scored less marks in the main examinations or who could not pass in any subject. This time the timetable is available on the official website of the board cbse.gov.in.
Which examinations will be held when
This year the schedule of supplementary examination is quite detailed. It not only includes the main subjects, but there will also be examinations for vocational and electoral subjects. The examination will start at 10:30 am and most of the subjects will end by 1:30 pm. However, the examination of some vocational subjects will be of only two hours.
The first examination to be held on July 15 includes linguistic subjects like English optional, Hindi optional, Urdu optional, Sanskrit optional as well as core subjects of social sciences like history, political science, geography and economics. Subjects considered difficult like science and mathematics — such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Biotechnology and Engineering Graphics — are also included in the exam list for the same day.
Apart from this, subjects like Computer Science, Informatics Practice, Accountancy, Business Studies, Home Science and regional languages — such as Punjabi, Bengali, Manipuri, Malayalam, French and Nepali — are also included in the timetable. Along with this, there will also be exams for some special vocational subjects — such as IT, Retail, Web Application, Financial Market, Beauty and Wellness, Tourism and Agriculture.
Important things related to the exam
CBSE has made some important rules to conduct the exam properly. First of all, all the students have to reach the examination center on time and it will be mandatory to bring their admit card with them.
Every student will get 15 minutes before the examination starts, so that he can read the question paper properly.
Carrying any kind of electronic device — like mobile phones, smartwatches or other gadgets — to the centre is strictly prohibited. If a student violates this rule, strict action will be taken against him under unfair means.
Tips for students
This supplementary exam is a last chance for those students who either could not pass the last time or want to improve their marks. Therefore, students should make good use of this time, study regularly and reach the centre with full preparation on the day of the exam.
It is very important to follow the guidelines issued by the board so that the examination can be conducted without any problem.
