Pain spills over while remembering her son
Celina shared this video on Shamsher’s birthday. Shamsher was one of her twin sons who passed away due to a congenital heart condition. The grief of losing her son shortly after birth remains with Celina to this day; she often remembers her child through social media posts.
In the video, the actress sits on the ground in front of the grave. She gazes silently at the grave for a while before becoming overwhelmed with emotion. Seeing her tears, one realises that even as time passes, the void left by a child in a mother’s heart can never be filled.

Today, you were born beside Arthu. You left us so soon afterwards, but you have never left me.
I have seen the longing for you in Arthu’s eyes & heard it in his words. I believe you watch over him. And somehow, through everything, I feel you watching over me too.
Amid the uncertainty of our family’s ongoing proceedings, I do not know when I will be able to return to sit beside you. Even this small wish feels painfully out of reach.
I left my country, my parents, my work & everything familiar to build a life with my family. Today, I sometimes feel as though I must explain in words & documents what has lived in every breath of me since becoming a mother.
