How to update mobile number in PF account?
This process can be done by visiting the official website of EPFO. First of all, the member has to login with the help of his Universal Account Number (UAN), password and captcha code. After this, go to the ‘Manage’ tab and select the Contact Details option. Here, after entering the new mobile number twice, click on Get Authorization PIN. A 4-digit PIN will be sent to your new number, after entering which you have to click on ‘Save Changes’. After this, confirmation of mobile number update is sent by EPFO through SMS.
You can also update your mobile number offline
Those who are not comfortable with the online process can also do this work offline. For this, the member has to fill a form and enter the new mobile number in it. It is important to ensure that the new number is linked to the Aadhaar card. This form has to be signed and certified by your employer and submitted to the regional PF office. On completion of the process, EPFO sends a confirmation message.
