Train Cancelled Update: Major setback for some train passengers. Indian Railways has issued an important alert for train travelers traveling to and from Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The Railways has decided to cancel eight passenger trains running on this route on January 11th and 12th. This action has been taken due to the ongoing road underbridge construction work in the Hathbandh–Tilda Nevra section. According to the Railways, work will be carried out on the track during the construction.

Due to this, safe train operations will not be possible. Consequently, some passenger trains on this route will be cancelled for two days. Therefore, passengers who have already booked tickets or are planning to travel during this time are advised to check their train status before departing to avoid last-minute hassles.

These trains were affected

On January 11th, the Gondia–Jharsuguda–Gondia MEMU passenger train will not operate on the entire route but will be turned back midway.
