Train Cancelled: Major setback for train passengers. If you often travel by train, there’s some important news for you. If you’re heading to or from Bihar in the near future, this information is particularly relevant. Efforts are being made to enhance rail connectivity in the Danapur division. Non-interlocking (NI) work is set to commence on the Neura-Jatdumri rail line. This work will take place from April 18th to April 26th, leading to the cancellation of several trains on this route, along with changes in schedules and rerouting of others. Let’s clarify which trains are affected by this situation.

The following trains will be cancelled

These trains will not operate between April 18 and April 26. So, if you plan to travel towards Patna, Ara, Buxar, Sasaram, and the DDU section during these dates, please pay close attention to the details.

Patna-Sasaram Passenger (53211) will be cancelled on April 25.
Sasaram-Patna Passenger (53212) will be cancelled on April 26.
Patna-DDU Passenger (63225) will be cancelled on April 26.
Patna-Ara Passenger (63213) will be cancelled on April 26.
DDU-Buxar Passenger (63240) will also not operate on April 26.
Patna-DDU MEMU Express (13209) has also been cancelled on April 26.
DDU-Patna MEMU Express (13210) will also be cancelled on April 26.
Due to the cancellation of these trains, daily commuters may encounter significant challenges.

Due to this work, the routes of several trains have been changed, which will affect their stoppages. See here for the train routes that have been changed.

On 25th April 2026, New Delhi-Rajendranagar Special (03294), Indore-Patna Express (19321), Ajmer-Bhagalpur Express (13424), Okha-Guwahati Express (15635), Lokmanya Tilak-Dibrugarh Express (15945) and Surat-Bhagalpur Express (22947) trains will be diverted via DDU-Gaya-Jehanabad-Patna instead of their scheduled route.
On 25th April 2026 itself, Kamakhya-Delhi Express (15658) will be diverted via Patna-Jehanabad-Gaya-DDU.
On the same day i.e. 25th April, Delhi-Kamakhya Express (15657) and Anand Vihar-Malda Town Express (13430) will be operated via DDU-Gaya-Tilaiya-Kiul route.
Whereas on 26th April 2026, Patna-CSMT Mumbai Express (22359) will be run via Patna-Jehanabad-Gaya-DDU route.

In addition to train cancellations and route diversions, several trains have also had their timings changed. The list and timings of these trains are as follows:

Danapur-Buxar Passenger (63219) will run behind schedule by 50 minutes to 110 minutes between these dates.
Buxar-Patna Passenger (63232) will run late by 45 minutes to 75 minutes from its scheduled time.
Patliputra-Lokmanya Tilak Express (12142) will run 30 minutes behind schedule on April 23 and 25.
Banaras-Patna Express (15125) will run 120 minutes behind its scheduled time on 23rd and 24th April.
Vasco da Gama-Patna Express (12741) will run 180 minutes behind schedule on 22nd April.
New Delhi-Rajendranagar Amrit Bharat Express (22362) will depart 140 minutes behind schedule on 22nd and 23rd April.
Udhna-Jaynagar Express (22564) will run 120 minutes behind schedule on 19th April.
Lokmanya Tilak-Raxaul Antyodaya Express (22554) will run 180 minutes behind schedule on April 22.
Sasaram-Patna Passenger (53212) will run 75 to 150 minutes behind schedule between April 20 and 25.
Bhabua Road-Patna Express (13250) will run 70 minutes to 300 minutes behind schedule on 26th April.
DDU-Patna MEMU Passenger (63234) will run 70 minutes to 300 minutes behind schedule on 26th April.
Godda-Lokmanya Tilak Express (22311) will run 70 minutes to 300 minutes behind schedule on 26th April.
Danapur-Anand Vihar Express (13257) will run 70 minutes to 300 minutes behind schedule on 26th April.
Patna-Sasaram Passenger (53211) will run 70 minutes to 300 minutes behind schedule on 26th April.
Danapur-SMVB, Bengaluru Special (03251) will run late by 70 minutes to 300 minutes from its scheduled time on 26th April.
