Farmers’ Schemes: The Central and State governments are currently running several special schemes for farmers, the benefits of which are reaching farmers directly. Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, farmers receive a total of ₹6,000 annually, disbursed in three instalments of ₹2,000 each.

If you are currently availing the benefits of this scheme, you can also take advantage of an additional, supplementary scheme. Under this supplementary scheme—also operated by the government—an additional ₹6,000 will be provided annually. Consequently, farmers are receiving a total annual benefit of ₹12,000. You can find detailed information about this supplementary scheme below.

Key Highlights:-

22nd IInstalmentStatus – The 22nd instalment of the PM Kisan scheme was recently released on March 13, 2026. If you are a beneficiary, you should have received the ₹2,000 credit in your Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Budget 2026 Allocation – The MP State Budget 2026 has officially designated this year as “Kisan Kalyan Varsh” (Farmer Welfare Year), with a dedicated allocation of approximately ₹5,500 crore for the CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana alone.

Mandatory e-KYC: If you haven’t received your recent instalments, the most common reason in 2026 is an incomplete e-KYC or a bank account that isn’t linked to Aadhaar (DBT enabled). You can check this on the official PM Kisan portal.

Receive ₹6,000 Through This Scheme.

Did you know that the Madhya Pradesh government has launched the ‘CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana’ for farmers? Through this scheme, farmers receive an additional benefit of ₹6,000, over and above the amount received under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. This initiative has been implemented by the state government with the aim of further empowering the farmers of Madhya Pradesh.

Now, by combining both schemes, farmers in Madhya Pradesh receive an annual benefit of ₹12,000—rather than just ₹6,000. This is expected to significantly improve the economic condition of farmers in the state.

Eligibility Criteria for Both Schemes

To be eligible for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, it is mandatory for the land to be registered in the individual’s name. The applicant must also be a citizen of India, and the family’s annual income must exceed the prescribed minimum threshold. Government employees are not eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.

Regarding the CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana, the primary eligibility criterion is that the applicant must already be a beneficiary of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. Only then can an individual avail the benefits of both schemes simultaneously.

Schemes That Make Farmers Economically Strong

These two schemes serve as a boon for the welfare of farmers. They provide farmers with significant financial relief, enabling them to purchase essential agricultural inputs such as fertiliser, seeds, and other necessary supplies. While farmers in other states receive only ₹6,000 annually, the Madhya Pradesh government has taken a significant step toward improving the condition of its farmers by providing them with an annual benefit of ₹12,000.
