Speed Post New Charges: If you are also one of those people who use the Speed Post service of Indian Post instead of private courier companies, then this news is for you. The Postal Department has announced a change in the charges for sending documents through Speed Post.

The Ministry of Communications said that these new rates will come into effect from October 1. Under this, you will now have to pay more than before. Along with this, the Postal Department has also added some new features. This includes OTP based delivery, real-time tracking and online booking.

After 12 years, the department has decided to revise speed post charges. While fees have been reduced for some locations, they have been increased for most others. The ministry says this move is timely and takes into account rising costs and the need for modern services. Previously, the postal department had discontinued the registered post service, which has been merged with speed post.
