Sanjeevani Yojana: Preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi are in full swing. All political parties are making different announcements. In this sequence, the Delhi Aam Aadmi Party government has made a big announcement. Former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced the Sanjeevani Yojana for the people of Delhi.

The Sanjeevani Yojana has been announced to provide health insurance to older people. This scheme aims to provide good treatment to older people. Delhi is a state where the Ayushman Bharat scheme started by the central government is not applicable. Under this scheme, all older adults 60 or older will be treated for free.

Sanjeevani Yojana?

What is not in the Ayushman Bharat scheme of the central government will be in the Sanjeevani scheme of the AAP government. Only a person whose age is more than 60 years will get the benefit of Sanjeevani Yojana. Older people will be treated for free. All citizens above 60 in Delhi will be treated for free.

According to the AAP government, the government will bear the entire cost of treatment under this scheme. There is no limit on the maximum treatment. Within a few days, AAP workers will go door-to-door and register people. There is no limit on income or class. BJP is calling it a mere slogan. AAP is also talking about implementing the scheme soon.

Important things related to Ayushman Bharat Yojana

Ayushman Bharat, or PM-Jan Arogya Yojana, is a boon for people over 70. Under this scheme, the government annually provides free treatment of Rs 5 lakh. Golden cards will be issued to people over 70.

However, the poor, destitute, widows, and people of weaker sections can take advantage of this scheme. Under this scheme, cancer, heart attack, and kidney-related diseases are treated for free.
