The post office is considered a safe platform. There is no risk of money sinking in it. Many types of schemes are offered under the post office. One of these is the Post Office Mahila Samman Bachat Yojana (Women’s Honour Savings Certificate). The duration of this scheme is usually 2 years.
But it is possible that in an emergency we may have to withdraw money before the completion of the period. So in such a situation, the question arises whether money can be withdrawn before the completion of the period under MSSC. Do you also want to know how you can withdraw money from this scheme before time? So let’s know.
Can money be withdrawn before maturity

According to the official website of the post office, if the female investor wants, she can withdraw money before the completion of the scheme. However, there are some rules regarding this. Under the Mahila Samman Bachat Yojana, any investor can withdraw money in the middle after 1 year of investment. But you can withdraw only up to 40 percent of the amount. This 40 percent money is counted on the total amount. Which also includes interest received at an interval of one year.

For example- Suppose an investor invests Rs 2 lakh under Mahila Samman Bachat Yojana, then within a year Rs 2,15,427 will be deposited in his account. The withdrawal amount is calculated at the rate of 40 percent of this Rs 2,15,427. Which means that if there is Rs 2,15,427 in the account, the investor will be able to withdraw only about Rs 86 thousand.
On the other hand, if the investor has a serious illness, then the money can be withdrawn, but by doing this you get a return only on the principal amount. Along with this, investors can also withdraw money after 6 months, but in such a case, 2 percent less return is available.
How to withdraw money
If you want to withdraw money before the completion of the scheme period, then first of all you have to go to your nearest post office and fill the withdrawal request form. Along with this, an identity card has to be submitted.
How much return is received
In Mahila Samman Bachat Yojana, you get up to 7.5 percent return. This interest is calculated every quarter. The returns and principal amount received under the scheme are available to you only after the completion of the period. This scheme can be started with Rs 1000. A maximum of Rs 2 lakh can be invested in it.
