Another significant benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan account is eligibility for schemes like Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), and Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Bank (Mudra) Yojana.

Documents Required to Open a Jan Dhan Account
If you have an Aadhaar card or Aadhaar number, no other documents are required. If the address has changed, self-certification of the current address is enough. If the Aadhaar card is unavailable, one of the following government-valid documents will be required: voter ID card, driving license, PAN card, passport, or MNREGA card. If your address is included in these documents, they can serve as both proof of identity and address.
