According to officials, there were 181 people on board the plane. According to the information, the accident occurred while landing at an airport in the southwestern region of South Korea on Sunday.Sixty-two2 people died in this accident. Local officials said that the passenger plane operated by Jeju Air was landing at Muan International Airport when it slipped off the runway. Muan Fire Department official Lee Seong-sil says that they have found 85 bodies and are taking them to the hospital.

‘ He said, ‘We are trying to find more casualties.’ At the time of the accident, 175 passengers and six crew members boarded the plane. Jeju Air Flight 2216 took off from Bangkok. Photos and videos of the accident are becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, a large cloud of smoke is seen rising into the sky.

According to local time, the emergency service received the news of the plane crash at 9 am. According to the report of South Korea’s news agency Yonhap, the bird hit must have affected the plane’s landing gear. The video going viral on social media shows that the aircraft is trying to land without lowering its landing gear.

However, the footage could not be confirmed. According to the fire department, rescue officials are evacuating passengers from the rear part of the jet. According to officials, out of 175 passengers, 173 are Korean citizens. Whereas 2 are Thai citizens.
