How to check if PAN card is active or not

  • For this, first of all you will have to go to the e-Filing website of the Income Tax Department.
  • You will find the option of “Quick Links” or “Instant e-Services” at the bottom of the homepage.
  • After this you have to go to the option of “Verify Your PAN”.
  • After this you will have to enter your PAN number, full name, date of birth and mobile number linked to Aadhaar-PAN.
  • After this you will receive an OTP.
  • After entering this, you will see the status of your PAN card whether your PAN is active or not.

How to reactivate deactivated PAN

If your PAN card is deactivated, then to activate it, you will first have to link your PAN card with your Aadhaar. Even if it is already linked, check once whether it is still valid or not.
