What did the government say about the PAN card?
The central government has said a big thing while answering in the Parliament. The government replied in the Parliament that the PAN cards issued in the year 2017 and the PAN cards to be issued under the PAN card 2.0 project will have a QR code. Under the PAN 2.0 project, more improvements are to be made in the QR code.
The existing PAN cards are going to be valid under PAN 2.0. The most important thing is that the existing PAN cardholders will not need to get a new PAN card. Meanwhile, the government said that PAN cards with QR codes have been issued since the year 2017. That means 8 years have passed.
