Are you also a credit card holder? Then this news is for you. Some significant updates are coming for SBI Card and IDFC First Bank credit card users starting April 1, 2025. Here’s how these changes will impact your card benefits.

SBI Card Updates

SBI Card is making adjustments to its rewards program and other perks. These changes will affect the SimplyCLICK SBI Card, Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card, and Air India SBI Signature Credit Card.

Reduction in Reward Points

For the SimplyCLICK SBI Card, the reward points for orders placed through Swiggy will drop from 10X to 5X. However, you can still earn 10X points when shopping online at Myntra, Netmeds, Cleartrip, Dominos, Yatra, BookMyShow, and Apollo 24×7. With the SBI Platinum Credit Card, the reward points for every Rs 100 spent will decrease from 15 to 5. For the Air India SBI Signature Credit Card, the points earned for every Rs 100 spent will be cut from 30 to 10.

Changes in Insurance Coverage

SBI Card will also be ending its complimentary insurance coverage. The complimentary air accident insurance of Rs 50 lakh will no longer be available starting July 26, 2025, and the complimentary rail accident insurance of Rs 10 lakh will also be discontinued.

IDFC First Bank Card Updates

IDFC First Bank is also revising the benefits of its Club Vistara credit card.

Changes to Club Vistara Card

Starting April 1, 2025, the milestone benefits associated with the Club Vistara IDFC First Bank card will be eliminated. However, customers can still earn Maharaja Points until March 31, 2026.

The Club Vistara SBI Card will no longer provide economy ticket vouchers or milestone benefits for annual spending thresholds of Rs 1.25 lakh, Rs 2.5 lakh, and Rs 5 lakh. Additionally, the premium economy ticket voucher will be removed from the Club Vistara SBI Prime Card.
