LPG Price: Big shock for everyone. Amid the war-like atmosphere,LPG cylinder prices have been significantly increased. Commercial LPG cylinder prices increased significantly on April 1st. The price increased by Rs 194 in Delhi,Rs 218 in Kolkata,Rs 203 in Chennai, and Rs 196 in Mumbai. However,no changes have been made for domestic LPG cylinder users, providing them some relief for now.

What are the rates in the four metros?

A major change has been made in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders from April 1. In Delhi, this cylinder will now be available for Rs 2,078.50 instead of Rs 1,884.50. In Kolkata, its price has increased from Rs 1,990 to Rs 2,208,i.e.,there has been an increase of Rs 218. In Mumbai,a 19 kg cylinder will now be available for Rs 2,031 instead of Rs 1,835,the price has increased by Rs 196 here. Whereas in Chennai, the same cylinder has increased from Rs 2,043.50 to Rs 2,246.5 i.e.,there has been an increase of Rs 203. In this way, commercial gas cylinders have become expensive in all the four major cities.

However, the price of domestic LPG cylinders remained unchanged. Rates for domestic LPG remain unchanged. The last increase for 14.2 kg cylinder was Rs 60 on March 7. This cylinder is now available in Delhi for Rs 913. State-owned Indian Oil Corporation,Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise aviation turbine fuel (ATF) and LPG prices on the first of every month based on international benchmarks and exchange rates.

Global oil prices have risen by almost 50 percent due to disruptions in energy supply chains caused by the war in West Asia. This is also impacting LPG prices.

Petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged. These rates have remained stable since a Rs 2 per liter reduction in March last year. Petrol currently costs Rs 94.72 per liter in Delhi, while diesel is selling for Rs 87.62 per liter. This price increase could be a cause of concern for businesses and small industries, which will be directly affected by the increase in energy costs.
