Aadhaar Pension Linking: Currently, Aadhaar has become a mandatory document for all government and non-government offices. From opening a bank account to providing mobile numbers, gas subsidies, and pensions, Aadhaar is used for identity verification everywhere. If you are receiving a pension from the EPF, linking your pension account to Aadhaar can be beneficial.

Although linking your Aadhaar account to your pension account is not mandatory, doing so makes verifying your identity quick and easy. This reduces the risk of delays in filing claims, transferring pensions, or availing other services in the future. You can do this both online and offline.

Offline Aadhaar Linking Process

If you choose the offline method, you will need to fill out the Aadhaar-EPF Seeding Application Form. You can get this form from the EPFO office.

When filling out the form, you’ll need to enter essential information such as your name, UAN (Universal Account Number), mobile number, and Aadhaar number. You’ll also need to submit self-attested copies of your Aadhaar card, PAN card, and UAN.

After submitting the form and documents, officials will verify your details. Upon completion of verification, your Aadhaar will be linked to your EPF account, and you’ll be notified via SMS or email.

Aadhaar Linking Process Online

If you have your UAN and password, you can also do this online from home. First, visit the EPFO’s Unified Member Portal website and log in with your UAN and password. After logging in, select the ‘KYC’ option from the menu. Here, you’ll find options to fill in details such as your bank, PAN, and Aadhaar.

Now, in the Aadhaar section, enter your Aadhaar number and the name that appears on your Aadhaar card. After submitting the information, your application will appear under ‘Pending KYC’. Once the verification is complete, it will appear as ‘Approved KYC,’ which means your Aadhaar has been successfully linked.

This simple process allows you to link your pension account with Aadhaar. This will simplify identity verification, speed up the claim process, and keep your government records up to date.
