What is Delhi’s Ladli Scheme?

The Ladli Yojana in Delhi was started by the Women and Child Development Department on 1 January 2008. Its purpose is to encourage the birth of daughters in the capital and strengthen their schooling with financial assistance. Under the scheme, an amount of Rs 10000 to 11000 is deposited in the name of a daughter on her birth.

After this, Rs. 5000 each is given on admission in 1st, 6th, 9th, 11th and 12th class. This entire amount is invested through State Bank Life Insurance. When the girl turns 18 years old and has passed 10th, then this money is given to her with interest.

Apply in this way for the scheme

Application for Delhi Ladli Yojana can be done both online and offline. To apply online, first go to the e-district portal https://edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in/ . After this, click on New User in Citizen Corner. Then select the Aadhar card and enter the number, after that fill the captcha and tick the declaration and click on Continue.

After this you will have to fill the form. Remember to enter the mobile number and email correctly. Because login details will be available there. After registration, you can apply by logging into the portal. For offline application, the form can be taken from the Women and Child Development Department, District Office of Delhi Government or Government School and submitted in the District Office.
