How to Track ITR Refund Status

- Step 1: Go to the Income Tax Portal
- Login with your PAN number and password.
- Go to the taskbar.
- Click on e-File, then click on Income Tax Returns and View Filed Returns.
- You will see a list of all assessment years.
- Click on the year for which you want to check the refund and go to View Details.
- Here, you can clearly see the refund status.
How to Check Refund Status from NSDL Portal
- You can also check your refund status through the NSDL Portal.
- Go to the NSDL Refund Status Page.
- Enter your PAN number and Assessment Year (for example, 2025-26).
- Fill the captcha and click Proceed.
- Your refund status will appear on the screen.

- Usually, the income tax refund is processed within 4 to 5 weeks of e-verification.
- If there is an unnecessary delay, you can go to the income tax portal and file a complaint by raising a grievance.
