It has been more than 10 years since the introduction of e-KYC in 2013, and it is necessary to update it every 5 years, as stated in the rules. In this digital age, you can now easily complete the e-KYC process from home with your mobile phone or computer. For this, you have to update your information by visiting the portal of the concerned state or central government.

To do e-KYC of ration card at home, follow the following steps:
1. Visit the official portal:
First of all, visit the official portal related to ration card of your state or central government. For example, if you are in Uttar Pradesh then you can visit the website of the “Food and Civil Supplies” department.
You can easily search the portal by adding the name of your state (eg “State Name Ration Card E-KYC Portal”).
2. Fill in the details related to ration card:
To log in to the portal, you may have to enter the ration card number and other information (such as the name of the family member). After this, you have to verify your ration card information.
3. Link Aadhaar card:
Linking of Aadhaar card is necessary in the e-KYC process. You have to fill in your Aadhaar card number and other required details so that verification can be done.
4. Onlin photo/fingerprint verification:
Some states may ask you to upload biometric (fingerprint) or a photo based on your Aadhaar card during the e-KYC process. This process can also be done from a mobile phone.
5. Upload required documents:
On some portals, you may need to upload ration card related documents (such as identity proof, address proof).
6. Verification and completion:
After filling all the details, you will have to wait for a verification process. If all the information is correct, your e-KYC process will be completed successfully.
7. Confirmation via message or email:
When e-KYC is successful, you will receive a message or email confirming that your process is complete.
