FASTag KYC– Major news for FASTag users. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has implemented the new Fastag rules from August 1. According to these new rules, users whose Fastag account has been valid for five years or more need to change it. Along with this, users whose Fastag account has completed three years need to update their account.

How will FASTag be updated?

To update the Fastag account, you will have to go through the Know Your Customer (KYC) process again. For this, first get information about the insurance date of the account and find out how much time has passed since your Fastag account. If it has been three years, then you need to get KYC done. The last date to get KYC done for Fastag account is 31 October.

To get online KYC done for Fastag account, some easy steps have to be followed.

 

How to do offline KYC

KYC for Fastag account can also be done offline. For this, you will have to contact the bank that issued the Fastag. For this, you will have to go to the nearest branch of that bank. To update KYC for Fastag account, you will have to fill the application form, in which you will have to fill all your details and submit it. After this, your Fastag account will be updated by the bank.

According to the new guidelines of the government, people who have not updated their KYC may have to face problems at toll plazas, because the government has issued an order to blacklist such Fastag accounts from August 1.

 

One Vehicle, One FASTag

The rule of one vehicle, one fastag has also been implemented by the Government of India. The thing to note here is that one fastag can be used for only one vehicle.
