Over the past two days, gold has become dearer by ₹3,294, and silver by ₹15,694. The rate for 22-carat gold has crossed the ₹140,000 mark per 10 grams.

According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association, based on the rates released on the morning of April 16, 2026, the price of 24-carat gold is ₹153,305 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, the price of 18-carat gold remains steady at ₹89,683 per 10 grams.
