22-carat gold is mainly used in making jewellery. This gold is 91.6 per cent pure. But by adulterating it, 89 or 90 per cent pure gold is sold as 22-carat gold. If the hallmark of gold is 37, five, then this gold is 37.5 per cent pure.

However, this gold is considered 58.5 per cent pure if the hallmark is. If the hallmark is 750, then this gold is 75.0 per centre. If the hallmark is 91,6 six sixteen, the g,o ld is 91.6 per cent pure. If the hallmark is 9,90, the gold is 99.0 per cent pure.
