Gold Price Today: Gold and silver prices fluctuate daily. The rates of gold and silver are changing very rapidly. Gold and silver prices surged today (January 9). According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by ₹1,422 to ₹137,195. Yesterday, it was at ₹135,773 per 10g. Meanwhile, the price of one kilogram of silver increased by ₹4,168 to ₹239,994. Yesterday, its price was ₹235,826 per kg. On December 29, 2025, the price of gold reached an all-time high of ₹138,161 per 10 grams. Similarly, the price of silver reached ₹248,000 per kilogram on January 7.
IBJA’s gold prices do not include 3% GST, making charges, or jeweller’s margin. Therefore, rates may vary across cities. These rates are used by the RBI to determine the rates for Sovereign Gold Bonds.

The prices issued by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association are widely accepted nationwide, but they do not include GST. When buying jewellery, the price of gold is higher due to taxes. The rates announced by IBJA are not released on Saturdays, Sundays, and central government holidays. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-karat (999 purity) gold has risen to ₹137,195 per 10 grams.
This represents an increase of ₹1,422 compared to yesterday’s price. The price of 995 purity (23-karat) gold has also increased by ₹1,417, reaching ₹136,646. Similarly, 916 purity (22-karat) gold is now priced at ₹125,671 per 10 grams, up ₹1,303. 750 purity (18-karat) gold has become ₹1,066 more expensive, reaching ₹102,896 per 10 grams. Furthermore, 585 purity (14-karat) gold has increased by ₹832, reaching ₹80,259 per 10 grams. Regarding silver, 999-purity silver has increased by ₹4,168 to ₹239,994.
