The Central Government has started a special scheme for workers in different unorganized sectors. Under this scheme, workers get a pension after the age of 60. They also receive financial help and protection. To get these benefits, people must apply for the e-Shram Yojana. The main aim of this scheme is to register all unorganized workers from different sectors.

The Shramik Card scheme started in August 2021. Registered workers get a regular pension after turning 60. If a worker dies or becomes physically disabled, their family gets financial support. The scheme also provides a UAN number and other benefits.

If the e-Shram Card is linked with the ration card, its benefits can be used in other states too. Cardholders get ₹500 to ₹1,000 per month. In case of disability, they get ₹1 lakh, and in case of death, ₹2 lakh. The families of cardholders also receive help like free bicycles, sewing machines, and other support.

Who Will Get the Benefits?

The Union Ministry of Labour launched this scheme. People aged 16 to 59 years can apply for it. The application process is online. If you want to register, You must need to visit the official website eshram.gov.in.

If you want to apply, you must have an Aadhaar card, a mobile number linked to Aadhaar, and bank account details. Only unorganized workers can apply. People who pay income tax or are members of EPFO or ESIC cannot get the benefits of this scheme.
