Where to file a complaint?
Let us tell you that you can file a complaint at the place from where the goods were purchased, or where the shopkeeper has a branch. Consumer courts are of three levels. Cases up to a fixed amount are resolved in these three levels. However, before filing a case directly, try to resolve the matter by talking to the shopkeeper or the service-providing company. However, if no solution is found, then only take the next step, so that you can file a case in the consumer court.
Process of filing a case in the consumer court
Now, filing a complaint in the consumer court has become easier than before, and there is no need for a lawyer for this. However, you will have to follow the necessary process.
According to money and place, in the first process, the place where the case has to be filed is decided based on how much money the customer has lost or how much compensation is required. Along with this, the complaint can be filed only where the shopkeeper or the service provider is present.

Write your complaint, which includes- what happened, when it happened, how it happened, and to reason you suffered the loss. In this complaint, write your name, address and phone number and the name and address of the person against whom the complaint is made. Along with this, attach necessary documents like a copy of the bill or receipt, any agreement or proof of purchase, and notice sent.

You have to sign your complaint yourself. Write in the complaint what you want – refund, compensation for damages, court expenses, or interest, write the details.

Keep in mind the time limit- You have to file a complaint for any bad product or service within 2 years of the incident. If there is a delay, then you have to give the reason why it happened.
