Ration Card e-KYC: To expedite the e-KYC process for ration card holders, an important review meeting was held on Wednesday in the block assembly hall. The meeting was chaired by Sub-Divisional Officer Abhijit Kumar Govinda. The main objective of the meeting was to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the e-KYC process and that verification is completed for everyone within the stipulated time frame.
Review Meeting Held in Two Phases
The meeting was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, dealers associated with the Public Distribution System in Narkatiaganj block participated, while in the second phase, dealers from Sikta and Mainatand blocks were called. The SDM gave clear instructions to all dealers, stating that any negligence in the e-KYC work would not be tolerated.

Complete e-KYC by February 15th
Sub-Divisional Officer Abhijit Kumar Govinda adopted a strict stance during the meeting and said that the e-KYC of all remaining beneficiaries must be completed by February 15th. He warned that departmental action would be taken against dealers who fail to complete the work within the stipulated time. The SDM informed that on average, 80 percent of the e-KYC work has been completed in all the blocks of the sub-division, but it is necessary to verify the remaining beneficiaries as soon as possible.
Know the Status of e-KYC
Block Supply Officer Deepak informed the meeting that there are a total of 3,26,879 ration card beneficiaries in the Narkatiaganj block. Of these, e-KYC has been completed for 2,58,080 beneficiaries so far. However, a large number of beneficiaries still have pending verification, and instructions have been given to complete it quickly.
Thousands of Beneficiaries Without e-KYC
According to the data released by the sub-divisional administration, approximately 68,799 beneficiaries in Narkatiaganj have not yet completed their e-KYC. In Sikta block, e-KYC is pending for 39,803 out of 1,77,573 beneficiaries, in Mainatand for 36,120 out of 1,69,521, in Gaunaha for 35,852 out of 1,78,064, and in Lauriya block for 39,234 out of 1,98,959 beneficiaries.

According to administrative data, 80.28 percent of e-KYC work has been completed in Lauriya block, 79.86 percent in Gaunaha, 78.95 percent in Narkatiaganj, 78.69 percent in Mainatand, and 77.58 percent in Sikta.
Meeting with dealers on Thursday
The administration informed that a separate review meeting will be held with the dealers of Lauriya and Gaunaha blocks on Thursday. The progress of the remaining e-KYC work will be reviewed in this meeting, and necessary instructions will be given.
