Passport Address Update: A passport is mandatory for traveling outside the country. People often change cities or move to another state. In such cases, updating the address on your passport becomes crucial. Now, this can be done online from the comfort of your home. You will only need to visit the Passport Seva Kendra for your appointment. After applying online, passport holders need to visit their nearest Passport Seva Kendra to complete the process.

Registration on the Passport Seva Portal
- First, you need to visit the official Passport Seva portal.
- If you don’t already have an account, you will need to register by clicking on the New User Registration link.
- After that, you will have to enter your personal information and select your nearest Passport Office.
- Then, fill in the captcha and click on the Register button.
- After registration, you can log in to the portal using your login ID.
- Process for Updating Address on Passport
- After logging in, go to the Services section and select the option to Apply for a Fresh Passport or Re-issue of Passport.
- Then, you will have to enter your passport number and date of birth.
- Now, after selecting the Passport Office, tick the Re-issue of Passport option.

- After that, click on the Change in Existing Personal Particulars option and select the Address option.
- After choosing the application type, such as Tatkaal (expedited) or Normal, select either a 36 or 60-page booklet.
- Then, accurately enter all the information requested on the screen and submit it.
Fee Payment and Appointment Scheduling
To pay the fee, click on the Pay and Schedule Appointment link. You can use internet banking, credit, or debit cards for online payment. For offline payment, select the Challan Payment option. After that, select your nearest PSK location and print the application receipt.
Required Documents at the Passport Seva Kendra
On the day of your appointment, you will need to carry your passport, self-attested copies of documents, application receipt, proof of address, and passport-size photographs. At the center, biometric records will be taken, and your documents will be verified. After this, your passport will be updated with the new address.
