Budget 2026 – Farmers to Receive Rs 9,000 Annually! Government Set to Make Big Announcement

PM Kisan 22nd Instalment: The second pre-budget of the Modi 3.0 government is going to be presented on February 1st. The government is making extensive preparations for the budget, raising high expectations among all sections of society. The middle class, businesses, corporations, and farmers are all hoping for significant benefits from the budget.
The central government made major announcements for farmers and the middle class in the last financial budget. The question now is whether the central government will increase the amount of the instalment under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana this time.
There is even speculation that the government might increase the annual instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to Rs. 9000.  Considering the upcoming assembly elections in some states in the next year after the budget, the Modi government might try to appease voters. However, nothing has been officially announced yet.

No Increase in Amount in the Last 6 Years

The Modi government launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in 2019.  Six years have passed since the scheme began, but the instalment amount has not been increased. Farmers have been continuously demanding an increase. Farmer organisations have been demanding an increase in the instalment amount, citing the rising costs of ffertilisers seeds, and irrigation.
According to farmer organisations, Rs. 2000 every four months is not sufficient for farming expenses. Due to the demands of farmers and the rising prices of fertilisers and seeds, the government might increase the amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to appease farmers. The annual amount could be increased by up to Rs. 3000.

How much will the instalment be after the increase?

If the instalment amount under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana increases to Rs. 9000 per year, it will be a great benefit for farmers. This would mean an increase of Rs. 1000 in each instalment. That is, instead of Rs. 2000 every four months, Rs. 3000 will be credited to their accounts.
Approximately 12 crore farmers will benefit from this decision. If you are a small or marginal farmer and are not yet benefiting from the scheme, you can register immediately. After registration, farmers will start receiving the insinstalmentyments.
