Bihar Voter List: If you are a resident of Bihar and you have a Voter ID Card, then this news is very important for you. Under the ongoing Voter Verification Program in Bihar, the names of those who have not got their documents verified will be removed from the Voter List. Patna District Magistrate (DM) Dr. Tyagarajan S.M. has given this information, citing the instructions of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The DM clarified that only those documents can be submitted during the Voter Revision Program which have been approved by the Election Commission. Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, MNREGA Job Card, and Driving License have not been included in this list. The last date for document verification is 26 July. During this time, about 5 thousand BLOs (Booth Level Officers) will go door to door in the district and do this work.
Why is this special revision program being done
District Magistrate Dr. Tyagarajan S.M. told in the Collectorate auditorium that the Election Commission of India has started a special revision program in the voter list because many people have died, and some people have left the respective assembly area for a long time and moved to another place. How to get your documents verified
There are two main ways of document verification for voter ID cards:
Through BLO
When BLO If they come to your house, you can get them verified by filling out a form and giving them the documents prescribed by the Election Commission.
Through online medium
You can also fill out the form by visiting the Election Commission of India’s website voters.eci.gov.in.
The form can also be filled out using the ECINet App.
In both these cases, the voter’s document will be considered verified.
What if verification is not done by July 26
The DM said that if for some reason the voter is unable to verify the document by July 26, then after that they will have to fill out Form 6 online or offline to get their name added to the voter list. This will be an additional process, so it is better to get the verification done in time.
