Subhadra Yojana: A huge relief for the women of Odisha, as the state government released the next installment of its largest women’s welfare scheme, the “Subhadra Yojana”. The scheduled date of January 18th was slightly extended due to administrative reasons, but now the wait is over, and funds have begun arriving directly into the bank accounts of eligible women. Find out how much you will receive under this scheme and what immediate steps you should take if the money hasn’t arrived.
Financial Assistance Under the Subhadra Yojana
The Odisha government’s Subhadra Yojana is a boon for the women of the state today. Since its launch on September 17, 2024, it has improved the economic condition of millions of families. Under this excellent scheme, the government provides a significant financial assistance of ₹10,000 annually to every eligible woman.
This entire amount is not disbursed in one lump sum, but in two equal installments, with each installment depositing ₹5,000. The government aims to ensure that a beneficiary woman receives a total of up to ₹50,000 over the entire duration of the scheme, ensuring she is not dependent on others for her needs, both large and small.

Which women’s accounts were transferred the funds
On January 22nd, the state government completed the process of transferring funds to the accounts of over 457,000 women. This primarily includes women whose names were recently added to the new beneficiary list or who were unable to receive their previous installment due to technical reasons.
This entire transaction was done through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), which ensures that every penny sent by the government is directly credited to your bank passbook without any deductions. If your name is included in this new list, you may have received a message from your bank on your registered mobile number.
Know who can benefit
Not everyone can benefit from the Subhadra Yojana; the government has set some very important rules. The primary requirement is that women must be permanent residents of Odisha and not be under 21 or over 60 years of age. Furthermore, the government excludes women who already receive monthly assistance of ₹1,500 or more than ₹18,000 annually through other government schemes. Last year, on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan, nearly 10 million women received a single installment, a significant example of women’s empowerment in the state’s history.
Check your name from home
If you want to check whether your name is on the installment list released today, you don’t need to go anywhere. You can open the official website of the Subhadra Yojana, subhadra.odisha.gov.in, on your mobile phone. Scrolling down, you’ll see a link to “Beneficiary List.” Clicking on it will open a list of your district, block, and ward. Pressing the “View” button will open a list of your entire area. You can easily view your name and status.

These small mistakes can cause your money to be held back.
Many times, despite being eligible, women’s funds get stuck. The most common reason for this is a mismatch between their Aadhaar card and bank account information. If the name on your Aadhaar card differs from the name on your bank account, the bank system rejects the money.
Additionally, your bank account must be active and Aadhaar seeding (linking) complete. If you experience any difficulties applying for or receiving the money, you can immediately visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or call the Subhadra Yojana helpline to register your complaint.
