What services will customers get?

Despite the bank closures, net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATM services will remain operational. Customers will be able to conduct online transactions and withdraw cash from ATMs. However, check clearance, drafts, cash counters, and other branch-related services will not be available during these days.

What are the demands of the employees?

Bank unions say that implementing a five-day workweek will reduce workload and increase efficiency. Employees will also have more time for their families. The unions have also proposed that they work 40 minutes more daily from Monday to Friday to ensure service is not affected.
