Benefit Available at Your Nearest Post Office
There is no longer any need to visit a large Aadhaar service center to update your mobile number in Aadhaar. Beneficiaries can visit their nearest post office or IPPB access point. This facility has been made available in most small and large post offices across the country. IPPB employees at the local post office will assist with the entire process.

Aadhaar Update Without Forms
Upon reaching the center, there is no need to fill out any application form. The Aadhaar holder only needs to provide their 12-digit Aadhaar number and the new mobile number they want to link to their Aadhaar. This process does not require the old mobile number, making it easy even for those who do not have access to their old number.
Instant Verification Through Biometrics
After sharing the information, the IPPB employee will ask the Aadhaar holder to place their thumb or finger on the biometric machine. This process is directly linked to the Aadhaar database. As soon as the fingerprint matches, e-KYC is completed instantly. There is no need to show the Aadhaar card or submit a photocopy.

Confirmation via SMS
Once the biometric verification is successful, the new mobile number is registered in the system. A confirmation message is then received on the new mobile number within a short time.
