Volkswagen Tayron R-Line
Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, the brand is once again going to take entry into the Three-Ro Premium SUV segment. This space was empty after Tiguan Allspace was discontested, which Tayron R-Line is about to fill. The good news is that its local assembly has started at the Aurangabad plant.

Talking about power, it will get a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, which generates 204hp and 320Nm of torque. This will be accompanied by a 7-speed DSG automatic and all-wheel drive system. In design it will give a glimpse of the Tiguan R-Line, but the longer wheelbase will make it a 7-seater. The features will also be premium and the price is expected to be around ₹50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Volkswagen Tayron (Standard)
Let me tell you that Volkswagen Standard Tayron is also preparing to bring India after R-Line. This variant will be for buyers who want the size and space of the Tayron, but not the top-spec price.

It is likely to be given a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine, which will give 150hp and 250Nm of torque. It can be offered with a 7-speed DSG automatic. It will have features and drivetrain kept slightly soft to show different from R-Line. The estimated price may be between ₹45 – 48 lakhs, making it a more practical option.

Volkswagen Taigun Facelift
Volkswagen Taigun is one of the company’s most important SUVs, and its facelift is scheduled to arrive in 2026. It has been seen many times during testing. Design tweaks, new alloy wheels and soft-part updates will be seen instead of large sheet-metal changes.

The engine line-up will remain the same —1.0L and 1.5L turbo-petrol — but major changes may occur in transmission. The new 8-speed torque-converter may come in place of the existing 6-speed automatic with 1.0 TSI. Features are expected to include editions such as panoramic sunroof. Price ₹can live between 12 – 19 lakhs.

Volkswagen Virtus Facelift
Along with SUVs, Volkswagen is also going to update its sedan Virtus. Front-rear design changes in the Virtus Facelift, new alloy wheels and cabins like the Taigun Facelift are expected to be found.

The biggest upgrade here could be the addition of ADAS, which would further strengthen Virtus’s grip in the sedan segment. Engines will remain the same —1.0L and 1.5L TSI— but entry of 8-speed automatic is possible with 1.0 TSI. Price is estimated at ₹12– 18 lakhs.

Volkswagen Golf GTI
The most interesting return of 2026 will be the second shipment of Volkswagen Golf GTI. Demand for the first batch was so strong that 150 units were booked before the price was announced.

Now the company is preparing to bring a second batch. It will get a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, which gives power of 265hp. With a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, it sends power to hot-hatch front wheels. It will have an estimated price of ₹53 lakhs (ex-showroom), but it will remain a dream car for performance fans.
