Top 3 Affordable Cars in India – 27 KM Mileage, Sunroof and 5-Star Safety

Top 3 Affordable Cars in India – In today’s time, buying a car is no longer limited to style or mileage. Now when traveling with the family, the first question is how strong is safety. The good thing is that even in the low budget, cars are being found which come with great mileage, modern features and 5-Star Safety Rating.
Many affordable cars have now received a 5-star safety rating under the India New Car Assessment Program ie BNCAP. This list includes SUVs to sedans, which prove to be reliable for everyday use as well as family. Today we are talking about three such cars, which make balance in all three price, mileage and safety.
Tata Punch Facelift
The first name in this list comes from Tata Motors’ Tata Punch. Tata Punch is considered to be India’s cheapest SUV with a 5-star safety rating in BNCAP. Its initial price is close to ₹5.59 lakhs, which easily fits into the middle class family budget.
The Punch gets a 1.2-liter Revotron petrol engine, which gives power of about 87–88 bhp and torque of 115 Nm. Its high variants also have a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine, which makes the drive a bit more fun. Apart from this, CNG variants also exist, which proves to be quite strong in terms of mileage.
Talking about mileage, the petrol manual variant gives up to around 20 kmpl, about 18.8 kmpl in AMT and up to 27 km / kg in CNG. The list of features also looks no less than a large car – 6 airbags, ABS-EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, 360-degree cameras, sunroofs and touchscreen infotainment systems make it attractive to both youth and family.

The Dzire features a 1.2-liter Z12E petrol engine, which generates power of about 80 bhp and torque of 111.7 Nm. The CNG variant is also available, which is particularly liked by mileage-focused buyers.
The biggest strength of this sedan is its mileage. The petrol manual variant gives a mileage of around 24.79 kmpl, about 25.71 kmpl in AMT and up to 33 km / kg in CNG variants. Talking about features, it gets 6 airbags, ESP, TPMS, 360-degree camera, sunroof, wireless charging and 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
The third car is Mahindra’s Mahindra XUV 3XO. It is made for those who want safety as well as SUV style and powerful engine. The XUV 3XO also received a 5-star safety rating in BNCAP and has a starting price of close ₹7.28 lakhs.
The SUV gets two tunes of 1.2-liter turbo petrol engines, with power ranging from 110 bhp to 129 bhp. Apart from this, a 1.5-liter diesel engine is also available, which gives torque up to 300 Nm. Mileage remains around 18–20 kmpl in petrol and 20–21 kmpl in diesel.
