Top 10 Scooters: Scooter sales in India have undergone significant changes this year, with some of the popular ones losing market share while others increased their dominance. The recent sales chart of June 2025 reflects thrilling changes, as Honda Activa continues to top the list but faces strong competition from TVS Jupiter and others in the segment.
Honda Activa
Honda Activa still leads the scooter segment, but its sales figure declines. In June 2025, Activa registered 1,83,265 units, i.e., more than 50,000 units lower than last year. The 21.47 percent decline has trimmed its edge over others such as Jupiter. Even after the drop, Activa is India’s best-selling scooter.
TVS Jupiter
TVS Jupiter has demonstrated excellent growth in the segment. It retailed 1,07,980 units in June 2025, which is 35,880 units higher than June last year. The 49.76 percent jump puts it strongly at number two, narrowing the difference with Activa.
Suzuki Access
Suzuki Access took the third spot with 51,555 units sold. Its sales decreased a bit by 637 units from last June, registering a low 1.22 percent decline. Access remains a popular brand as it is reliable and good to drive.
Honda Dio
Honda Dio experienced a steep decline in sales, selling merely 24,278 units in June 2025. This is a 25.49 percent decline compared to 32,584 units in last year. The decline indicates the increased competition in the scooter segment.
TVS Ntorq
TVS Ntorq also saw its sales decline. It retailed 22,822 units, which is 17.94 percent lower than previous year. Though popular with young buyers, the decline shows stiff competition from some sportier scooters.
Bajaj Chetak
Bajaj Chetak has seen good performance with a 7.03 percent growth. It sold 17,864 units in June 2025. The electric scooter has attracted attention because of its premium look and performance.
Suzuki Burgman
Suzuki Burgman recorded a positive growth of 4.07 percent. Having sold 15,733 units in June 2025, it remains a top choice for those who want comfort and style.
Yamaha RayZR and TVS iQube
Yamaha RayZR sold 14,274 units, down 5.99 percent from last year. TVS iQube, an electric scooter, also experienced a drop of 6.35 percent and closed at 14,244 units. Both have promise but are adversely affected by competition from the competition.
Ola S1
Ola S1 experienced the largest sales decline. Having sold 20,190 units in June 2025, it recorded a staggering 45.22 percent fall over last year’s figures. This decline sent it to the lowest position on the top 10 list.
