The Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes with a 1.2 later naturally aspirated petrol engine, which can generate around 90 bhp of power and 113 nm of torque. This engine option comes with a five-speed manual transmission and a five-speed automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki also offers a factory-fitted CNG option, which can generate more mileage than a petrol engine.
While the Tata altroz facelift comes with two engine options. First 1.5 litre petrol engine, which can generate around 90 bhp of power and 200 mm of torque with 5-speed manual transmission. And second 1.2 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which can generate around 88 bhp of power and 115 NM of torque with 5-speed manual transmission, 5-speed amt transmission and 6 speed DCT transmission. Tata motors also fitted a factory CNG option with only 5-speed manual transmission.

Features
Now let’s talk about the features of both premium Hatchbacks. The Tata Altroz recently got a new facelift version and now it is India’s most luxurious and features a loaded premium hatchback. Tata ultra comes with a 10.25 inch touchscreen in the infotainment system with a fully digital instrument cluster and wireless Android auto with Apple Carplay connectivity.
Other features include voice assist, an electronic sunroof, a 360 degree camera, ambient lighting, a speaker sound system, cruise control, climate control, push-button start/stop engine, Keyless entry, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, rear AC vents, all power windows, a USB charging port and a 65 what type C charging port for the front passenger. And also a wireless mobile charging pad.
While the Maruti Suzuki Baleno offers a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an analogue instrument cluster and Android auto with apple carplay connectivity. Other features include a 6-speaker Akram sound system, head up display, cruise control, automatic climate control, real AC vents, electrically adjustable and foldable Orvms, all power windows, push-button start/stop engine and keyless entry.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno price starts around 6.74 lakh for the starting variant and 9.96 lakh for the higher variant. The Tata ultra price starts around 6.89 lakh for the entry-level variant and 11.49 for the higher variant.
Tata ultra comes with a more premium price range than Maruti Suzuki Baleno but also offers more engine options and performance with luxury features.
