The Suzuki Burgman, which has established its premium presence on Indian roads, returns after a long wait of eight years with a powerful and robust update. After its first launch in 2018, in April 2026, the company made significant changes to its design, frame, and engine, making it the most powerful maxi-scooter in the segment.
The Burgman, now based on the robust platform of the Access, has made its performance even more powerful than before. This powerful scooter is now equipped with powerful features like a high-tech TFT display and keyless ignition, making your ride more robust and comfortable than ever.
Design and Frame Changes

The exterior of the new Suzuki Burgman has been significantly retouched. While its signature maxi-design remains intact, the steely design of the headlight and taillight has been made sharper and more modern than ever. The biggest and strongest change is the frame, as Suzuki has used a new steel frame with access that is 500 grams lighter than the previous model and has 25% more torsional rigidity.
The reduced weight has made the scooter’s handling even more robust and firm on the road, making turning in traffic a breeze. Furthermore, all variants now feature sturdy 12-inch steel front and rear wheels, providing you with unwavering security even on rough terrain.
New Engine
Suzuki has strived for a perfect balance in terms of performance, with the new Burgman now producing 8.4 hp of power and a robust 10.2 Nm of torque. While there’s a slight decrease in power compared to the previous model, there’s a significant increase in torque, making initial pickup even more robust.
Suzuki claims that this powerful change and the revised CVT gearbox will deliver a robust response between 30-60 km/h and deliver better fuel economy. This powerful engine will effectively protect your pocket from fuel costs during stop-and-go city traffic.
High-Tech Variants and Features

The company has introduced the new Burgman in two powerful and powerful variants: the ‘Ride Connect Edition’ and the most premium ‘Ride Connect TFT Edition’. The top variant features a massive 4.2-inch color TFT display that displays navigation and call alerts with sharp clarity.
It also boasts powerful features like keyless ignition and a remote fob that reliably controls the seat opening and fuel lid lock. Another robust and practical change is the fuel filler, which is now firmly located below the taillight, eliminating the need to lift the seat when refueling.
Price
If you want a scooter that’s rugged to ride and looks rugged and premium, the new Suzuki Burgman is a strong choice for 2026. Starting at ₹1.02 lakh, the range may be slightly more expensive than the outgoing model, but with a new steel frame, a robust 24.6-liter under-seat storage, and high-tech TFT features, it delivers value for money. For those who love the vintage design, the Burgman Street EX still holds its own at ₹1.08 lakh, but the new Burgman’s rugged feel and robust technology make it a step ahead.
