New Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition spotted at dealerships in India – Black theme hints at imminent launch

New Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition – Mahindra is well aware of always keeping her lifestyle SUVs in discussion. Sometimes from off-roading DNA, sometimes from special edition smart moves. Now Mahindra has prepared another surprise before 2026. The new Mahindra Thar Roxx Star Edition has recently been spotted at the dealer yard, and photos are clearly stating that this version is going to be quite bold in the case of looks.

Recently Mahindra teased a new variant of Roxx and the spy images now revealed confirm that it is a cosmetic special edition. Its purpose is clear, without mechanical changes, making Thar Roxx more aggressive and stylish.

Thar Roxx Star Edition

Biggest distinguishing feature of the new Thar Roxx Star Edition is its all-black treatment. This special edition features black alloy wheels, replacing the dual-tone or metallic finish wheels of the standard variant. Combined with the Stealth Black exterior shade, these wheels give the SUV a more muscular and uniform look.

This is a look that off-road enthusiasts will instantly like. Whether the SUV is stationary or moving, its road presence appears stronger than ever. However, the grille, bumper, and lighting setup remain unchanged, making it clear that Mahindra has deliberately limited this edition to visual upgrades only.

Dark interior theme

Star Edition looks different as soon as it steps into the cabin. This version is based on the AX7 L trim, ie there is no shortage of features. The only difference is that now the dark theme is seen in the interior.

The dashboard comes in a black finish, the seats are given black leather upholstery and the interior trims are also kept darker than before. Interestingly, Mahindra has not given a fully all-black cabin. Beige color is retained in roof liners and parts of the doors.

Engine

If it comes to engine and performance, Star Edition has no new surprise. Mahindra had already clarified that it is not a facelift, and now the spy images are making the same gesture.

Thar Roxx Star Edition’s access to the dealer yard is a clear indication that the official launch is not far away. Mahindra may disclose its price and variant details in the coming days.

Because it is based on the AX7 L trim and has given cosmetic upgrades, it may cost slightly more than the standard variant. However, this premium is not expected to be very large, so that this edition can remain within the reach of more people.
