Platform

New Kia Seltos is built on the Global K3 platform, which is stronger and refined than before. The body structure of the car has become more solid due to this new platform and feels better stability during driving. Even on bad roads, the car seems more confident, as if it is holding the road firmly. Also, this platform has also brought a big upgrade in terms of safety.

Safety

If we talk about its safety, the new Seltos has changed the level of the segment itself. All variants have features standards such as six airbags, ABS, hill-start assist and electronic stability control. Level-2 ADAS is found in elevated variants, including 21 autonomous safety functions. This feature makes everyday driving easier and more secure, especially on the highway.

Design

The difference is made by seeing the exteriors design of the new Kia Seltos. Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy makes it more futuristic. The length of the SUV has now increased to 4,460 mm, making its road presence even more powerful. The wide stance and long wheelbase give more space to the cabin as well as giving it a more premium look.

Digital Tiger Face, segment-first automatic streamline door handles, Ice Cube LED projector headlamps and new design alloy wheels give it a global SUV feel. Inspiration from Kia Telluride in design is a clear glimpse.

Interior

Talking about the interior, it has a panoramic display of 75.18 cm, which combines infotainment and driver information together. This display is not only large, but also very smooth in use.

This is accompanied by features such as Bose’s premium 8-speaker sound system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Some variants include ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, 10-way power adjustable driver seat with memory function and also relaxation mode. All these features give the cabin a luxury lounge feel.

Engine

New Kia Seltos has three engine options. It includes 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol, more powerful 1.5-liter turbo petrol and a reliable 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine. Transmission options are also quite wide — manual, iMT, IVT, DCT and torque converter automatic. Meaning, there is definitely something here for every type of driver.
