MG Majestor SUV – Whenever there is talk of strong, big and rough-tuff trains in the Indian SUV market, Toyota Fortuner is first named. But now this emperor is seen in danger. JSW MG Motor India is in full preparation with its new full-size SUV MG Major, which is scheduled to launch in India on 12 February.
MG Majestor is spotted testing on off-roading trails in Coorg, Karnataka. These spy shots not only show its size and road presence, but also make it clear that Majestor has the power to overtake Fortuner, not just in appearance, but also in real off-roading.

Off-roading test

MG Majestor was spotted on off-roading trails in the Coorg area of Karnataka, where difficult trails take real examination of any SUV. This testing was done at Orbit Adventure, Coorg, and spy shots were revealed by automobile anthuziast Rakshith Nanaiah.
These photos clearly show that MG Majestor is designed not just for show-room shine, but also to fight mud, rock and slopes. Elevated ground clearance, large size and wide tires give it the identity of a true off-road SUV.

Design

Talking about design, MG Majestor’s side profile is largely the same as Gloster, but from the front and back it creates a completely new identity. The front now has a larger and impossing grill than ever before, which gives the SUV a domineering face.
Vertically stacked LED headlights on either side of it and new LED DRLs are found on them. The special thing is that another set of vertical LED DRLs is given on the sides of the grill, which instantly detects it on the road.
Body cladding has also been used extensively, making its rugged appeal stronger. The elevated bonnet and muscular crease make it feel like a real D+ segment SUV.

Rear Look

MG Majestor at the back brings a completely new look. The new LED taillights have been connected to a light bar, making it quite premium and modern at night.
Twin exhaust tips are given on the new rear bumpers and the MAJESTOR name written in capital letters in the middle gives it a different identity from Gloster. Some camouflage parts were also seen writing “India’s first D+ SUV ”, which could become an important part of MG’s marketing strategy.

Engine

The MG Majestor is expected to offer the same reliable 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder twin turbo diesel engine, generating around 220 PS of power and 480 Nm of torque.
This engine will be paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and 4X4 transfer case. The glut of low-end torque makes it extremely powerful during off-roading, especially on climbing and mud paths.

Rival

There have been names like Ford Endeavor and Mahindra Alturas G4 in the history of large SUVs in India, but now the real combat in the field remains between Toyota Fortuner and MG’s SUVs. Gloster was still holding this responsibility, but Majestor’s arrival has made the game more serious.
