New KTM 390 Adventure R has been launched in India at a price of ₹3,77,915 (Ex-Shorem, Delhi). Interestingly, it is close to ₹20,000 cheaper than Regular 390 Adventure. The reason is given tube tires, which are considered more reliable in terms of off-roading. Seeing the price is clear that KTM has offered it as a value-packed offer for anthuziasts.
Engine and performance
If the engine is concerned, this adventure machine gets the same well-known 398.63cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine, generating 46 PS power at 8,500 rpm and 39 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine comes with an electronic throttle body, making the response even sharper.
This is accompanied by a 6-speed gearbox and A&S slipper clutch, which keeps the bike under control even in hard downshifting. Whether it is a long highway or a stony track, the engine assures you.

Suspension and Chassis
KTM 390 Adventure R is built on a split trellis frame, with a 27-degree relayed rake angle. Its direct advantage is seen in high-speed stability and off-road control.
The front features a 43mm inverted telescopic fork, with an open-cartridge design and 30-step damping adjustment. A suspension travel of 230mm is found on both ends, which is much more than a regular model. Rugged paths become as if games for this bike.

Wheels, Tyres and Braking Setup
This bike plays its rally inspired character with all sincerity. It features 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels with Mita Nobi tube tires. 90/90-21 in the front and 140/80-18 size tires in the rear, which gives a great grip on loose soil and skeletal paths.
A 320mm disc is given in the front and 240mm disc in the rear for braking. It is accompanied by a dual-channel ABS standard, including off-road ABS mode. This mode facilitates rear wheel lock, making it easier to control the slide.

TFT display and Connectivity Features
It has a 5-inch full-color TFT display for the rider interface, which supports the KTM Connect. Connecting smartphones provides features such as call, music, and turn-by-turn navigation. Apart from this, the USB Type-C charging port has also been given standard, so that the phone tension is not maintained in the long ride.
