TVS iQube: The electric revolution is slowly sweeping through India, and at the forefront is a two-wheeler that has surprised the market as well as competitors. With no trumpeted boasts or exaggerated offerings, this scooter has gained the attention of more than three lakh Indians in just one year.
Unmatched Sales Growth
TVS iQube has established new standards in the EV segment. It surpassed the remarkable 6 lakh wholesale unit milestone, reaching 6,26,297 sales in early May 2025. This growth story was heavily influenced by April’s nearly target sales and an extra 27,642 units sold within the first two days of May. Interestingly, it positioned iQube as the top electric scooter in India for the month of May.
Acceleration in Demand
iQube’s sales tale is volumes about its market appeal. Although it took more than three years to touch its first 1 lakh sales, the second lakh was achieved in merely 10 months. The third milestone of 3 lakh was crossed by early May 2024, completing the loop in 53 months. The most stunning aspect? The new 3 lakh units were dispatched in only 12 months—demonstrating a colossal surge in countrywide demand.
A Family-Electric Ride
Rolling out in January 2020, iQube was conceived as a family-focused electric scooter. It has features such as complete LED lighting, connected technology, ample seat space, and adequate storage. These are designed to appeal to regular commuters as well as small family users, making iQube a viable urban mobility option.
Record-Breaking Performance in FY25
TVS Motor Company recorded a record Financial Year 2025 with sales of more than 18 lakh scooters. In that, there were petrol variants such as Jupiter, Ntorq, and Zest along with iQube. TVS sold 2,72,605 units of the iQube in FY25, which accounted for 15% of the company’s total scooter sales. That also aided TVS in grabbing a market share of 26% in a year when India’s domestic sales of scooters reached 68,53,214 units.
Ruling FY26 from the Beginning
The run did not lose steam after FY25. In April 2025, iQube, for the first time since its inception, became the top-selling electric two-wheeler based on a month’s retail sales. It did it again in May. During June 1-14, 2025, it clocked 11,841 units, taking a 27% market share of all electric two-wheelers sold in the nation—out of 43,917 units.
Electric Segment’s Rising Star
iQube’s leadership not only reflects TVS’s vision strategy but also the rising penchant of Indian consumers for trusted electric mobility. With high demand and robust dealership network, the scooter is likely to keep its glittering performance going through 2025.
