  • Chanakya Niti: These 3 Habits Can Make You Lose Respect Overnight

Chanakya Niti: These 3 Habits Can Make You Lose Respect Overnight

Chanakya Niti Warning – Acharya Chanakya is considered the world’s greatest diplomat and teacher. With his wisdom, he transformed an ordinary boy, Chandragupta, into an emperor. His book, “Chanakya Niti,” teaches us life management even in today’s competitive world. Chanakya says that earning respect in society is as difficult as losing it. Often, small mistakes can tarnish our image. Let’s explore some of the habits that can diminish you in the eyes of others:

    1. Unthinkingly “boastful”
Many of us have a habit of expressing our opinions on every issue. According to Chanakya, people tend to take lightly what someone who talks too much often says.

Disadvantage: A person who talks too much often reveals their weaknesses and future plans to others.

Lesson: Use words only when they are valuable. Listening to others in silence makes you more mysterious and influential.

    2. Being a “yeoman” or trying to keep everyone happy
Are you one of those people who can’t say “no” to anyone? If so, be careful. Chanakya Niti says that society considers a person who is always trying to please everyone as weak.

Disadvantage: When you don’t set your boundaries, people start taking advantage of your goodness.

Lesson: Don’t compromise your self-respect. Learn to speak out against wrongdoing.

    3. The Effect of Bad Company
There’s an old saying: “A man is known by his company.” According to Chanakya, if you surround yourself with negative people or those with a negative mindset, your abilities are doubted.

Disadvantage: Those who live in a coal mine always have bad hands. Bad friends not only tarnish your image but also undermine your confidence.

Lesson: Always be with people who motivate you to move forward, not pull you back.

  • Holi 2026: Do These 3 Vastu Remedies Before Playing Colours for Peace and Prosperity

Holi 2026: Do These 3 Vastu Remedies Before Playing Colours for Peace and Prosperity

Holi Vastu Tips 2026 – Holi isn’t just a festival of colours; it’s an opportunity to win hearts, erase past bitterness and make a fresh start. On the first day of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) of Chaitra month, when the world is awash in colors, the energy around us is incredibly special.

According to Vastu Shastra, small changes made on this day can permanently ward off the evil eye and conflicts from your home. According to Rishikesh-based astrologer Akhilesh Pandey, doing these three simple things early in the morning, before the rush of playing with colors, will ensure positivity in your home throughout the year.

Purifying the Main Gate: Goddess Lakshmi will be welcomed
The main door of a home is considered the most important in Vastu. After bathing on the morning of Holi, first take Ganga water in a pot and sprinkle it on your main door. Ganga water not only symbolizes purity but also eliminates negative energy from the home.

Pro tip: After sprinkling, make a ‘swastika’ on the door with turmeric or gulal. This is a symbol of auspiciousness and prosperity, inviting happiness into your home.

Holika Dahan Ashes: A Shield of Protection
Holika ashes symbolize the victory of good over evil. It is believed that these ashes have the miraculous power to destroy negative forces.

What to do? On the morning of Holi, bring some ashes from the Holika Dahan site and apply it as a tilak on the foreheads of family members.

Benefits: Doing this removes evil eye and brings mental peace. Some people also sprinkle this ash in the corners of the house to prevent any negative forces from entering.

Blessings of Elders: The First Step to Success

In today’s hectic life, we are forgetting our traditions, but this remedy is the most effective. Before sharing colors with an outsider, start with the elders in your family.

    Offer colors to God first.

Then touch the feet of your parents and elders, apply gulal (coloured powder) to them, and seek their blessings. Why is this important? It is believed that the blessings of elders have the power to avert even the biggest obstacles in life and bring success to your pending tasks.

    Do these remedies really work?

According to religious and Vaastu beliefs, mass energy is very high during festivals. Auspicious deeds performed during these times promote mental peace and family unity through the placebo effect and spiritual belief. The scientific reasoning behind the use of Ganga water and turmeric is their anti-bacterial properties.

  • Impress Your Guests This Holi with Halwai-Style Chashni Mawa Gujiya Recipe

Impress Your Guests This Holi with Halwai-Style Chashni Mawa Gujiya Recipe

Mawa Gujiya Making Tips – The first thing that comes to mind when we hear the word Holi is hot, hot Gujiyas. Honestly, the Holi festival is incomplete without Gujiyas. It’s one of India’s traditional sweets, especially made in North India for Holi. Crispy on the outside and filled with mawa and dry fruits, Gujiyas are a delight for everyone.

If you’ve ever eaten the sugar syrup-soaked mawa gujiyas from a sweet shop, you’ve likely noticed the crispy crust and the rich and aromatic filling. The good news is that you can make similar halwai-style Gujiyas at home. All you need is the right ingredients and the right method. With the easy, tried-and-tested recipe below, your Gujiyas will be absolutely perfect.

Ingredients for Making Mawa Gujiya with Syrup

    For Preparing the Gujiya Dough

Maida (Wheat Flour) – 2 cups

Desi Ghee – 4 tablespoons (for kneading)

    Water – as needed

    For the Stuffing

    Mawa (Khoya) – 500 grams

    Desi Ghee – 1 teaspoon

Cashews, almonds, and raisins – 1/2 cup (chopped)

    Sugar – 1/2 cup

    Coconut Powder – 1/2 cup

    Cardamom Powder – 1/2 teaspoon

    For Making the Syrup

    Sugar – 1 cup

    Water – 1/2 cup

    Cardamom – 1-2

Saffron Threads – 5-6 (optional, for a better flavor)

Orange Food Color – a pinch (optional)

Easy Method for Making Halwai-Style Crispy Mawa Gujiya

    First, prepare the dough

Put the flour in a large bowl, add the ghee, and mix well. Knead it with your hands until the ghee is thoroughly mixed with the flour. Now add water little by little and knead a stiff dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20-30 minutes. This will make the Gujiyas more crispy.

     Prepare the delicious mawa stuffing

Heat some ghee in a pan and fry cashews, almonds, and raisins until they turn light golden. Remove them.

Now add mawa to the same pan and fry them lightly over low heat. Be careful not to burn the mawa.

Now add sugar, coconut powder, and coarsely ground dry fruits.

Finally, add cardamom powder and mix everything well. Your rich and fragrant stuffing is ready.

     Make the syrup

Combine sugar and water in a pan and cook over medium heat. Add cardamom and saffron.

Cook the syrup until it becomes slightly sticky (one-string consistency).

If desired, you can add a little food coloring; this will enhance the appearance of the Gujiya.

    Shape and Fry the Gujiyas

Now form small balls of dough and roll them out.

Place them in the Gujiya molds, fill them with the mawa stuffing, and seal the edges tightly.

Heat ghee in a pan and fry the Gujiyas over low to medium heat until golden brown.

Frying on low heat makes the Gujiyas more crispy.

Finally, dip them in the sugar syrup

Immediately dip the hot fried Gujiyas into the prepared syrup and let them soak for 1-2 minutes.

    Then remove them.

Your sweet-sour, sugar-dipped mawa Gujiyas are ready.

Essential Tips for Making Perfect Gujiyas

Adding the right amount of ghee (clarified butter) is crucial; it makes the Gujiyas crispy.

Always fry the Gujiyas over low heat.

Fill the stuffing only after it has cooled completely.

Don’t use the syrup that’s too thin or too thick; a one-string consistency is perfect.

Homemade Halwai-style Mawa Gujiyas with syrup not only taste great but also double the joy of the festival. This Holi, be sure to try this easy recipe. Believe me, everyone will praise your Gujiyas and ask for them again and again.
